About Me

I’m Anna “Annie” Lee Flores, MS, LPC. Still Waters Counseling LLC was created from a deeply personal place, from a belief that peace is possible, even in the middle of life’s hardest moments. My work is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and the understanding that we all need somewhere calm to rest, reset, and reconnect with ourselves.

I hold a Master of Science in Counseling and have professional experience across multiple levels of care, including supporting victims of abuse and trauma, providing substance use treatment to court-involved adolescents, and working in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. These diverse experiences have shaped how I show up as a therapist today: grounded, steady, and deeply attuned to the needs of each client I serve.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with teens in many different capacities, as a mentor, group facilitator, crisis responder, and therapist in structured treatment settings. These experiences have allowed me to understand the unique emotional, social, and developmental challenges adolescents face.

Teens often carry heavy pressures such as academic stress, identity development, family conflict, peer dynamics, anxiety, depression, and the constant noise of technology and comparison. I specialize in helping teens navigate these complex layers with compassion, practical tools, and a safe space to explore who they’re becoming.

My approach with teens focuses on building trust, strengthening emotional regulation, improving communication, and fostering resilience.

I also specialize in helping clients who experience chronic, ongoing stress, the kind that builds slowly and silently, often leaving people feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or disconnected from themselves. Whether the stress comes from school, work, relationships, caregiving, or internal expectations, I work alongside clients to uncover the roots of their stress and develop sustainable ways to restore balance.

Still Waters Counseling’s name reflects my belief that God leads us to quiet places where we slow down, breathe, become still, and allow our hearts to rest.

I trust that healing can happen when we feel safe enough to be seen, supported, and gently guided.
